Welcome to Collectible Tin Bin.

Our site caters to the enthusiasts for antique and collectible tin cans, containers and buckets. We developed this site out of our own passion for antique and collectible tins. We have searched the internet looking for specific sites that appeal to us in terms of specific content. This is the reason for this site. I guess I can say I am being a bit selfish, because this is my way of digging for buried treasure.  

When I was a young child, I grew up in an old part of town. We had a vacant lot behind our house that we used to play in day after day. One day we started digging holes for whatever reason. We were young boys, we are suppose to dig. We came across some tin cans and bottles that weren’t broken. We were hooked!  When we weren’t in school, we were out in that lot digging for bottles. I am not quite sure why we were doing this, but it was fun. It was like we were digging for buried treasure. This carried on until we had this lot completely turned over. I was coming home every day with arms full of bottles. After this lot was empty we managed to find another area and it started all over again. This carried on for a number of years. As time has passed, I have found interest in all kinds of antiques and collectibles. I have also become a little savvier in my passion for collecting. I am still looking for my buried treasure, but now through different avenues. This site has become an avenue for me.
